And here’s a picture of the Udvar-Hazy Center, the other half of the Air and Space Museum which is located near Washington Dulles airport. It houses all the aviation and space aircraft that are too large to exhibit at the museum in downtown D.C. We didn’t go there this time, but I’ve visited in the past. You can get up close and personal with the exhibits, walking around and even under the aircraft in the huge hangars, though you weren’t allowed to go on board the Concorde (unlike the Concorde displayed at the National Museum of Flight Scotland!).
