Pixar: 20 Years of Animation

With Pixar’s Toy Story 3 out in cinemas this month, I thought it would be the perfect time to dig out these photographs from my archives. These two larger-than-life figures from the movie Monsters Inc. greeted people at the entrance to the exhibition Pixar: 20 Year of Animation, which was on show at the National Museum of Scotland in 2007. The exhibition gave a glimpse behind the scenes at Pixar, and featured hundreds of traditional sketches and drawings; models and sculptures; and digital paintings. The pièce de résistance, however, was a giant 3D zoetrope featuring characters from the movie Toy Story.
